Parmigiano Reggiano wheel

A whole Parmigiano Reggiano P.D.O. wheel weight moreover 35kg.

It is always produced in the provinces of Parma, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Bologna to the west of the Reno River and Mantua to the east of the Po River. Each wheel is marked with the production dairy’s identification number, with the production date and with the certification mark, applied on the wheel by the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortio.

The wheels can be aged from 18 to 30 months.
