How we select it

30 years ago it was very difficult for Boni family to start the selection of Grana Padano wheels, because Parmigiano Reggiano producers didn’t want to see their cheese aging together with Grana Padano, which was considered to be not as good as their “cheeses’ king”.

Actually, Grana Padano is a very good product and people has no more prejudices about its quality.

Boni selects wheels produced in the province of Piacenza, which is the nearest province to the production zone of Parmigiano Reggiano. For this reason, Boni Grana Padano is identify with the mark PC.

The quality of the Grana Padano selected by Boni is always high: its taste is fresh and it can be aged up to 20 months.
